Athens Metro Line 3 Night Modifications Due to Track Works
Central stations will close earlier than usual starting tonight until early October due to track replacement works.

Schedule Adjustments
Athens mass transit authorities have announced temporary adjustments to Metro Line 3 operations due to engineering works for track replacement along the section between Eleonas and Monastiraki stations. The works will take place exclusively during nighttime hours, Sunday through Thursday.
Starting today through October 1, and again from October 4 to October 8, three key stations—Eleonas, Kerameikos, and Monastiraki—will close at 21:40 in the evening, approximately two and a half hours ahead of the normal closing time.
Modified Train Routes
During the working hours, Line 3 train traffic will operate in separated sections: between Municipal Theatre and Egaleo stations, and between Syntagma, Doukissis Plakentias, and the Airport.
Final trains prior to the station closures will depart earlier in the evening. For instance, the last train from Municipal Theatre toward Plakentias will depart at 21:20, with corresponding adjustments made across other departure points along the active segments before the partial shutdown takes effect.
Alternative Bus Service
To serve passengers during the evening disruption, transport authorities are deploying a temporary bus line designated as X24, running between Syntagma Metro Station and Egaleo Metro Station.
The special bus will operate Sunday through Thursday from 21:40 until the end of metro operations, passing by all closed stations along the route to maintain connectivity for commuters during the night.
